What color is this horse?

I have been exercising a pony recently, and she is a very unique color. She has a brownish body, and white mane and tail. It's not really sorrel, she has very little red in her, and its deffinatly not paimino, she is much darker. I was just wondering what you would call her. She is a rather large welsh pony, about fourteen hands, maybe a little under. She is really cute and super sweet.

What color is this horse?
Probably Red Roan..Does she sorta look like this? http://www.flickr.com/photos/bellabaci/1... People also call it Strawberry Roan but it means the same thing!

EDIT: Maybe she is more of a dark coco color? I call it dark coco..lol..I don't know the actual term. Does she sorta look like this..http://www.flickr.com/photos/richardsonr...

EDIT: Her mane is lighter? Like this..http://www.flickr.com/photos/el_stev0/39... I love horses that look like that!
Reply:If her legs are not black, my guess is that she is a liver chestnut- a very dark chestnut that can sometimes be mistaken for a dark bay if dark enough. The light colored mane and tail would be called a flaxen mane and tail (lighter in color).

Does your horse look like the one in the picture below? If so, she's a liver chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail.
Reply:Do you mean a sorrel chectnut with a flaxen mane and tail......

Wish you had a pic to post
Reply:Perhaps a diluted silver dapple?
Reply:Most likely she is a silver bay such as the horses in the following links. Silver bays are sometimes called chocolate palominos, or silver dapples.

Reply:Mountain Horse that is it!!!! They are dark with white mane and tail and very sweet. Great footing

Quarter horse, paint otherwise idk. Ask the owner or a trainer or a friend. Hope u find it
Reply:My fav color CHOCLATE!

OR If it is more red its called a sorral or roan :)
Reply:I would say liver chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. Possibly a silver bay or chocolate palomino....it's hard to determine the difference without seeing her.
Reply:She sounds like a silver buckskin with flaxen. Look this colo up on Y! images!!!

Reply:she is a sorrel with a flaxen main
Reply:Sounds like a chocolate palomino. I say palomino are the best color because they come in Chocolate, Gold and champange.
Reply:Liver chestnut with flaxen mane and tail? Don't think it has a name other than that. This is a characterisitc of Welsh ponies (I did some work experience at international welsh cob stud and there was a bloodline there carrying that colour).

Palominos can be very dark too sometimes, also fairly common with welsh horses.

The link below is a palomino welsh cob.

The link on the bottom is a liver chestnut with a fflaxen mane and tail.

Both the horses in the pictures are of Welsh breeding.

I live in Wales so I see alot of the Welsh breeding!
Reply:Chocolate Palomino is what I think you have. You said that it closer to the 2nd picture by eventer99. Chocolate Palomino is what I would call that color.

Palomino can come in a variety of colors. There is not just the standard golden palomino with golden mane and tail. They can be darker.

Do a google image search for chocolate palomino they have lots of pictures.
Reply:is she a silver bay? Those are bays with white manes and tails.......or is she the color that Rocky Mountain Horses are famious for? Is it like a chocolate color?
Reply:its sorrel. we call it pumpkin pie sorrel
Reply:Chocolate Palomino!!! My second pony was one and there's a movie called Bandido's with a great one.
Reply:Eventer 99...the chocolate color is just neat.
Reply:she most likely is a chesnut with a flaxen mane and tail my barn use to have one of those
Reply:She sounds like she has the silver gene. There are others similar too.

These are chocolate paliminos.
Reply:Hard to say without seeing a photo. Sounds like it could be chocolate. Similar to Rocky Mountain Horses.http://re3.mm-a6.yimg.com/image/35943729...
Reply:I would say a paint horse usually a horse with a lot of color on them would be considered a paint horse go to the AQHA website and look it up they could tell ya i pic would be nice we could prob help a lot more!!!
Reply:I'd say it's a liver chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. Or taffy (taffy is more brown than a liver chestnut)
Reply:sounds like liver chestnut to me.
Reply:Rocky Moutain Horse?
Reply:that is basically a paint horse with a flaxen mane if people ask you then just say that and when theyll meet your horse theyll see for themself
Reply:she'd be called a paint horse, because any horse with more than one color is called a paint
Reply:hmmmm i do not really know that much horseology! LOL :o)
