Who loves horses?

hey! i just wanted to hear from other people who love horses. i have two horses. one is a nine year old sorrel and white paint and the other is a four year old black and white paint. i ride English and Western. talk to me!

Who loves horses?
I LOVE horses. I love their smell, their beauty and grace, their personalities and everything else too.





I had a 23 year Morgan gelding, (Beej was his name - I had him for 12 years) that I had to put down suddenly in April of 2005. It was the WORST day of my life.





I WAS NOT, repeat, WAS NOT going to get another horse right away. I was grieving. Then I went to a farm in June of 2005 with a girlfriend to look at a mare that she was going to lease. There I met Hal. Hal was for sale. I wasn't ready. The woman showed him to me, then rode him for me and then made me get on.





I told the lady that I just wasn't ready yet. She then told me that she had had several people come and look at him and none of them were "right" for him. She had a feeling that I was the right person for Hal. I honestly thought she was just trying to sell him to me. The she FLOORED me by saying that if I wanted him that she would GIVE him to me since he liked me so much. The rest is history.





The strangest part was when I brought Beej's tack to ride Hal before I brought him home and it fit Hal without ANY adjustments. I bawled at that one.





Hal is a 10 year old 16 hand 1/2 Appaloosa, 1/2 Baskir Curly. He looks NOTHING like either breed as he is solid chestnut (not curly at all) with ONE white spot on his right flank!!





We ride english and Hal will go through anything if I ask him as he trusts me that much. Fate? Probably................

I rode western when I was really little (just western pleasure and trail riding) but then took 'a break' for a long while until the last year and a half when I've been riding english! I recently bought my first horse Colby whos a 12 year old chesnut thoroughbred gelding with a little white blaze and two hind white stockings and two frount white socks! He's very sweet and we both LOVE jumping and showing!
Reply:I don't ride with a saddle. I don't like them. I can feel when my horse is going to bolt, jump, buck or rear all by the tension felt in the muscles and the body language of the horse. I have quarter horses.
Reply:I absolutely love horses I own 2 myself but they are at my Uncles farm!
Reply:I love horses. I learned to ride when I was 4 and have loved them ever since. We don't have any, but there are a lot of stables near where we live. I can't wait to teach my son and daughter to ride.


I also worked at a horse stable to help pay for college.
