Matching Colors??

What is a nice color that would go with a sorrel (or rich chesnut) gelding QH/Arab. I'm going to start color coatin his stuff now. Also, what about a grey (or white) horse. And a polomino too. Thanks! P.S. I'm thinking a hunter green for the sorrel, and ethier a pink or baby blue for the grey and a purple for the last one, but I wanna hear your guys' opinion!

Matching Colors??
here is a color cordination chart made by hobby horse Inc. Hope it helps.

the chart is like a paint wheel it asks for the color of your horse then suggest colors to go with it.

Reply:okay..I'm a girl that LOVES pink and purple. On my 3 yr old Chestnut QH he has pink everything! I'm not even kidding.

I also had a 21 yr old sorrel QH and he had lavendar and dark purple everything. I definately don't have a problem putting girly colors on boy horses.

I REALLY like red on a palomino or hot pink.

For the grey, I like the pink and baby blue, but I think lime green would be pretty too.

But, most of all I like all of your color choices
Reply:Chestnut: i used blue and orange they were great together. Green will work

Gray: Bright pink, Lime green i think bright color

Palamino: Lavender purple, Green, BLue
Reply:sorrel:

earth tones

green

hunter green

palomino:

baby blue

green

lime green

pink

baby pink

hot pink

white

black

turquoise

teal

green/ blue

gray/white:

purple

burgundy

black

jewel tones
Reply:i use aqua green and a light blue....cause they look good on my sorrel mare and they are my fav color.... good luck
Reply:for the white a baby blue!
Reply:My chestnut horse is stunning in bottle green. Palominos suit white or maybe navy (or purple!) and for a grey nearly anything goes! To make a statement use something dark, like a rich burgandy, to make a real contrast, but for a more refined look baby blue and pink together would look nice (ie a pink saddle cloth with blue piping).
Reply:hello! well at the riding school i used to go to the grey mare they had used to wear green head collar and a purple rug and also dark purple is nice on greys aswell or lilac! she suits both of them so green and purple you should try for the grey. The Palomino we had she wore a white head collar and a purple rug and white really goes well with their mane lol so it will look beautiful but tends to get dirty easily so needs washing lots but you could also try a black head collar or yellow or blue. And for the chestnut well my auntie has one and he wears a red head collar and sometimes a yellow one and red really suits him and so does the yellow! you can also try blue aswell! hope i was a help bubi! x x
Reply:hiya

i dont know if its a mare or stallion/gelding, so i'll give you an answer for both

errr for the sorrell

Red, DEFINATELY! i think hunter green is nice too, but just imagine the red on your shining sorrell horse...cool!

er for the grey,

mare: baby pink

Stallion/gelding: baby blue

Palamino/polomino:

Mare and gelding/stallion: i think red too? but if you use red for this one, choose the hunter green for the sorrell

=D good luck =D
Reply:I love pink and baby blue with sorrels because if it's too dark they look really bad so I don't suggest hunter green but black might also work.
Reply:i would use green with the sorrel, i would use a light yellow or light blue with the grey/white horse and red with the palomino.
Reply:I used to show a sorrel and I would wear purple but use a black blanket. I showed a grey horse this year and I wore a baby blue. Normally you can use a black pad and it'll make you look good. You can go to Hobby Horse Inc. They have a color wheel and its shows what color horse and what color you should wear.
Reply:My suggestion is:

White for the sorrel horse, this will make his lovely chestnut colour standout

Dark or medium blue with the grey, this is what I did with my grey and it looked really good (if I do say so myself!)

I think purple on the Palomino would look really funky or maybe pink or white again?

I'm sure you'll have fun with this! Good luck and Happy New Year x
Reply:i would use dark color for the white a bright for the palamino and i think green would be could for the sorral.
Reply:Hmmm I like...

Sorrel - Navy blue

Grey/white - Pink

Palomino - Purple

Of course these are my opinions...my black %26amp; white paint's color is purple!!! =D

Problem with a/c
